Wapple.net is a leader in the mobile internet industry and is looking for a passionate and talented web and graphic designer to join our team.

Key Activities

Your position would involve doing a wide range of work including designing mobile sites and artwork for many of our clients and world famous brands.


Job Responsibilities

  • Creating design layouts in Photoshop, and working closely with other team members to get them built
  • Designing mobile websites and web sites for clients
  • Using Wapple's publishing platform to produce advanced mobile websites
  • Creating web and print marketing materials for advertising and shows
  • Updating web content - HTML, CSS
  • Other related tasks as may reasonably be required to meet the needs of the Company

Qualifications

  • Background in fine arts, graphic design or publishing
  • 4 years college degree/ 2 years associate degree is desirable but not essential

Experience

  • Proven experience designing for web, print and mobile.
  • Masterful skills for Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator (or equivalent), and the ability to create
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash and other front end development skills are desirable but not essential
  • Some server-side scripting using PHP and experience with SQL databases are desirable but not essential
  • Experience of digital marketing and campaigning

Knowledge and Understanding

  • Understand differences of designing for mobile compared to web and other media
  • Strong understanding of website design
  • Understanding of mobile website design principles
  • Implementing best user experiences
  • Knowledge of the Mobile Industry would be desirable

  • Confidence and creativity to think beyond the obvious and to justify your design ideas
  • Work well as part of a team and on your own
  • Communicate extremely well verbally and in writing
  • Confidence to be assertive, honest and contribute with your own ideas
