The profiler grows organically each time a new device visits a site built on Wapple. It will then source further detail on that device via the internet, as well as notify the Wapple development team that a new device has been registered.
Using Wapple every site page is built up with 'Chunks' of features and functionality - a Chunk could be anything from a graphic, to a navigational menu, to a gallery of downloadable digital content. You can build your own site using Wapple Canvas™ or we can do it for you - we also build custom Chunks to fulfil particular client needs as required.
When a mobile device visits your site the Device Profiler communicates with the site page and optimises each Chunk, on-the-fly, taking into consideration its knowledge of that device's capability and conditions.
There is no other way of providing this kind of 'build once' approach and ensuring every device is catered for.

Appropriate page mark-up language delivered to the device - wml, chtml, xhtml, html- Your brand logos and colour schemes are presented strongly with no distortion, as you would expect on the web
- Navigational display is dynamic - you can show horizontal, graphical, navigation to a high-end, modern phone, such as a Nokia N95 and know that this will display vertically without graphics to an old WML device such as a Nokia 7210
- Features such as click-to-call links only appear if the visiting browser version supports it
- Digital content only appears if the device supports the given format
- It's even possible to stop the zoom feature on an iPhone to make it display your content appropriately
