Mobile web pioneer Wapple wins nomination for ME Top 50 Mobile Innovators
Award-winning mobile web technology provider Wapple has been nominated for the ME Top 50 Mobile Innovators
The mobile web pioneer joined the other 49 companies at a London event this week to celebrate its inclusion in the list, ahead of what is expected to be an exciting six months with the company preparing for some significant announcements.
Speaking at the networking event to celebrate the Top 50 on Monday, Anne Thomas, Wapple co-founder said:
"We have always been a strong supporter of ME and its contribution to our industry, so this nomination means a lot to us. The judges who came up with the Top 50 are the most influential in the industry and we are honoured to be part of such a prestigious list", she said.
The news follows Wapple's recent announcement of its Mobile Developer Program, a community that brings together developers, web designers and agencies. The Program provides all the necessary tools to mobilise millions of businesses worldwide.
Tim Green, executive editor of ME, said: "Britain has always been home to inventors and entrepreneurs. It's been that way since the Industrial Revolution - which we invented too, of course and it's very gratifying to provide a showcase of the best of UK mobile."
ME's Top 50 Mobile Innovators project was open to privately owned UK registered companies. The sponsor was O2 BlueVia, and the initiative was also supported by Frog Capital, IMR and RPC.
