Wapple's Anne Thomas is a top woman

Anne Thomas, Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Bromsgrove-based Wapple (http://wapple.net), has been named as one of the top 50 women in mobile content. The list, published this month by the leading industry magazine Mobile Entertainment, highlights the most influential women in the mobile content market and includes senior representatives from handset companies, operators, billing providers and mobile content publishers. And it is truly global, naming women from all over the world as far away as Brazil, Bangladesh and Korea.

"I was thrilled to be selected for this accolade and to see women being recognised for their significant contribution to the exciting and fast growing mobile market," said Anne Thomas. "It is a great complement to be listed amongst such talented and inspirational women, but it is also a testament to the strength of the Wapple team and to the success of Wapple Canvas, our web-based mobile site builder tool."

Anne Thomas founded Wapple with Rich Holdsworth over five yeas ago and since then has strategically developed the business to its existing position as a leading technology provider.

About Wapple Canvas Zest
Wapple Canvas Zest breaks down the barriers to creating and publishing highly functional, professional and creative mobile internet sites. Using Wapple Canvas Zest anyone can build and get a mobile web site up and running in moments.

Mobile websites created with Wapple Canvas Zest can be accessed from virtually any device on any network and from any country. This is down to Wapple's advanced Device Profiler system, which is able to reconfigure mobile sites to fit perfectly on every single mobile device and browser without compromising the user experience. Without the Wapple Device Profiler, it would be impossible to deliver optimised mobile internet sites to over 5,000 different handsets.

Wapple Canvas Zest includes full CMS and hosting and is integrated with a number of mobile billing solutions, including PayForIt, MIGPay, MXTelecom, 2Ergo and the Bango platform. Data is also collected on visitors to the sites and full statistics are provided. The Wapple core technology automatically generates and submits a Google site map that describes each site's pages and content to ensure strong positioning in mobile search engines.
