Wapple Canvas stands out at MDA Awards 2008

Judges find that Wapple Canvas 'offers a total package for today's mobile marketing world'

Wapple's (http://wapple.net) web-based site builder tool - that breaks down the barriers to creating and publishing highly functional, professional and creative mobile internet sites - has been named 'Best Corporate Mobile Data Application' at this week's Mobile Data Association Awards. The awards were judged by members of the Association and the winners announced on 1 July.

"We are delighted to have received this prestigious award," said Anne Thomas, co-founder and Business Development Director at Wapple. "It is wonderful to be recognised by the industry for our role in enabling companies of any size to quickly and easily reach out to the fast growing mobile audience through a well-designed, highly functional site that works properly on all mobile devices."

When announcing Wapple's award the judges commented that: 'Business cannot thrive today without some sort of website support. From a simple home page to a full-blown e-commerce site with customer support and supply chain management built in. With more mobile devices than people in the UK and the everyday reliance on these devices for business (and consumer) use, it remains a problem to develop mobile websites that work well across the many device types and operating systems in use. Wapple Canvas offers a no-nonsense easy-to-use mobile website building and publishing tool that automatically adjusts its delivered content to the receiving device, Wapple offers a total package for today's mobile marketing world."

"The aim of the MDAs has been to show how much world-beating talent there is in the UK for mobile data applications and technology, and this list of award winners does just that," explained Vice Chairman, Steve Reynolds. "Our winners have been able to demonstrate innovation and commercial success which deserves this level of recognition."
